For many homeowners, having a master bathroom that provides a calm, spa-like, serene getaway (even for a brief moment) is a dream. At L. Evans Design Group, we love helping homeowners achieve their remodeling dreams, especially when we can take an outdated room and turn it into something fabulous. This Hartung Farm master bathroom remodel presented just the opportunity to create a space the homeowners would have to relax and unwind in.
This master bathroom was anything but calm and relaxing. The layout of the room didn’t fully maximize the space available, which made it surprisingly cramped considering how large the bathroom actually is. The corner bathtub didn’t allow for full relaxation, the shower had been tucked into a small enclosed space, and the unflattering yellow walls paired with the checkerboard floor created a dark cavern of a room.
While storage wasn’t an issue, the excessive plain, white cupboards ate into the available space. Working with the homeowners’ wants and needs, we set out to create a calming, spacious master bathroom.

After: A Cool, Modern, Spacious Master Bathroom

We absolutely love this complete bathroom remodel. We aimed to fully maximize the space, so we tore out the wall separating the shower from the main bathroom. This helped open up the space even more than before. The after on this bathroom is incredible. Using a cool color palette on the walls and in the tile flooring, paired with the cream quartz vanity and brushed nickel hardware, helped make the room even more spacious and created an open, airy feeling. We installed vanity lighting, toe kick lighting, and recessed ceiling lights to help bring even more light into this former dark cavern.

Relaxation abounds in this master bathroom before and after

The previous space had a cramped corner bathtub that did not lend itself to relaxation and the simple stall shower sat alone in a separate, closed off area.

By opening the space and liberating the shower, we helped create more opportunities for relaxation through a brand new large walk-in shower and luxurious modern soaking bathtub.

Rather than use a new stall shower, we utilized the entire space of the former shower room and created a large, walk-in shower with built-in seat and double shower heads.

We installed a towel warmer outside the shower for easy access for both the shower and new bathtub.

We completed this master bathroom remodel with a gorgeous, deep modern soaking bathtub.

Total relaxation is to be had in this bathroom, and whether it’s in a relaxing steam shower or a long soak in the bathtub, this remodeled master bathroom is a true treat for these homeowners.
